I was playing around with TrueSpace 7.6 this morning and I noticed that when I turned say a cube into a SubDivision Surface and went into Point Edit mode I could only edit the basic control mesh (the cube). If I create a new cube and add say 3 layers of SDS to it and go into Point Editing it shows me the most detailed layer to edit but as soon as I try to select a face it switches me back to the basic cube SDS layer.

I do see the spheres that allow you to select the other layers but they appear inside the object and I can't click on any of the spheres. If I keep the right mouse button pressed and drag the mouse somewhere I can switch the SDS detail that is shown but I can't seem to switch to another SDS layer for editing...

I also tested it on another machine and there it had the exact same problem... I've attached an image that basically shows the layer selection spheres inside the object and control mesh.

Try going into wireframe mode and then selecting the spheres. They represent the different sds levels.

Just tried switching to wireview mode but still can't select the SubDivision Layer spheres. :( Even tried moving the camera inside the object and clicking on the Spheres and nothing happens... :(

Yep, that definitely seems like a bug. I don't think it was broken in 7.5.

there is a small sphere on bottom corner of selectionbox widget to turn on/off rotary controls..left click it to turn off rotary controls and sds spheres will change place to outside object..

this is buggy behavior though..

Thanks that does indeed move the SDS Layer Selection spheres out of the object and allows me to switch... :D

Hey Stan!

Its a moderator who has been exposed to the unique radiation from a rare meteor, which has changed them at a genetic level giving them previously unheard of super moderation powers.

Alternatively, it's a tS user who has volunteered to help out in handling the large influx of new users and queries that the forums will have, to bolster the Caligari team and make sure that no-one's post or question or comment gets missed, and who can help ensure this community continues to live up to its excellent track record of being helpful and friendly to each other, and a great and safe place to be.

I like the first explanation myself ;)

Thanks!

Tom
