Ok here is my first attempt at the top...well my first of a top. I like it, bit I may adjust some of my poles to make the top lay a bit differently. If not then this is it.

Nice work rJeff!

By the way, if your REALLY want to understand how we got into this economic mess, take a look at how the deregulation frenzy started and WHO REALLY STARTED IT!

Well friend thanks for the nice comment, howerver this mess started with Clinton in 94' with the easing of lending restrictions. This was a vote grab. When the republicans made the fact known that FMac a FMae was tanking, btw one of Obama's head guys by the name of Raines was head of Fmac I think, the Dems whined and said no way it is fine. Heck even Alec Baldwin has seen that Clinton and Barny Frank is to blame. That is shocking. I hate to break it to you and all the other Obamaites..but he is a empty suite. He is also not all that smart..he just reads a teleprompter very well. He says change, howerver his VP is the old liberal guard. He has no new ideas. He just rehashes the same old argument. Now I am not big on Mccain either, but at least his VP is somebody outside of the Washington stonghold, which is nice. I ask this, would you want me to do surgey on you when I am not a surgeon? Then why would you want a man with no experience, hardly any senate expericen to run this country..in the ground...with his socialism?

"howerver this mess started with Clinton in 94' with the easing of lending restrictions"

Interesting how Clinton gets the blame for just about everything from the right wing, especially given the fact that they have been very much in charge for the past 8 years! By the way, your tagline seems to put the blame on Obama himself.

I think the economic mess is really quite simple: When you deregulate private businesses (started in earnest by Reagen, I'll admit that Clinton contributed but let's be honest...deregulation is a battlecry of the Right Wing INCLUDING McCain) that use public money or operate in the the public trust, it leads to corruption and financial malfeasance. It's like when your kids tell you that "they'll be fine" without a baby sitter. The banking and financial institutions just cannot be trusted to regulate themselves.

As far as McCain goes, I think he is just out of touch. The only thing I can yet understand about his economic "plan" is that he wants to give Mobil/Exxon $4 Billion??? Maverick? Not unless you define that as "owned by lobbyists."

Well Pablo we can agree on one thing..I would rather vote for somebody else than Mccain as well. Just not Obama. I am not saying he is directly at falut for this mess, but his finance guy is one of the people who cooked the books at FNMA to get his bouns, and not one thing has happened to him. As far as degreg of business.. I am all for goverment to get out of our business, however if business fails then they need to fail and not be bailed out. That is what makes capitalism so great. You screw up you fail, but at the same time private money can come in and buy screwed up business and make them soild, if goverment would just stay out if it.

Yes, but some businesses can hold our economy, our health or our environment hostage. We HAD to bail out the banks or everything freezes. That's why we NEED REGULATION in areas of Finance, health and industries that trash the land forever like the oil industry. The "Free Market" won't keep public monies and treasures safe when no one is watching the store. We *are* the government and we have a right to strict oversight of these industries for our own protection.

Bottom line: the free market is fine as long as the biz's in it aren't acting in the public trust or using public money or treasure to create their wealth. If a business wants to manage my money, use public land to add to their wealth or provide my health care, the WE NEED TO REGULATE THEM or we will have more of the same.

Interesting how Fox News drones on and on about the former Fannie Mae accountant sitting on Obama's staff and yet they continually write McCain passes for being SURROUNDED by lobbyists and going to bat for those who misuse public monies time and again. What happened to the so-called "liberal media?" Oh, that's right! It doesn't exist! But we sure have a "neo-con" media.

Obama made a choice to build a grass-roots campaign with $50 - $100 from 100's of middle-class Americans rather than the McSame approach of owing a few powerful lobbies $Millions. It's working!

Guess how many no-bid contracts for KBR and Halliburton will come out of an Obama administration?

polharris,

In your very first post last year you asked some good questions about tS but never responded to those that answered.

Since then all your post have been about politics. Although we all tend to drift, this is a trueSpace Forum.

All these political Signatures ( not just yours) that increase with size after each post is probably boring to most users here.

I like a good political debate like anyone else but in a trueSpace Forum?

We tend to discuss different topic here but our main focus has alway been about 3D. The Blog here was set up for those different discussions. You guys should check it out.

Sorry, but in this case I just couldn't ignore that tagline.

rjeff says: "I am not saying he is directly at falut for this mess,"

but his tagline reads: "..look at the paper trail. This economic mess leads right to his front door. "

Sounds like blame to me. And, a pretty political tagline; like a slap in the face to someone who really understands what is going on. To not respond would be tacit approval, and I dissagree with rjeff's banner much too strongly to let it slide.

I would never initiate a political discussion in these forums, but if someone tags their work with a huge, incorrect and misleading political statement banner, they should expect to get a response.

Well Steinie you are right. I do tend to get carried away when it comes to polictics, but this is about art and should remain art. I will take down the banner, because it is a distraction. Polharris I have enjoyed our banter, I am one of few who can camly discuss politics witout calling people names like a lot of people like to do. How about we just agree to disagree on the whole mattter and stick to art, which is a common thread I think me and you have. Believe me when I say..I whish I had a better choice than John Mccain.

OK, me too. I will even resist responding to spacekdet (but not because I don't HAVE a response!). Very classy response rjeff; I do respect your position.

By the way Steinie, I REALLY appreciated the responses I got last year to my ts questions. I was in the middle of a project from hell, but truespace got me through it. I was working many long hours on multiple projects, and didn't really have time for much. I certainly should have thanked everyone for the responses I got.

My group has since switched to Maya, but I still check in regularly on what's going on in the truespace world.

On to discussions of art!

It probably is a good time to talk about the art. This is coming along really well but the wheels are way too perfectly cylindrical it seems to me. Doesn't Fred's car tend to bounce along a bit? - the wheels should be uneven and bumpy - particular the edges which look so sharp you could cut pteradactyl bones on it. I don't think Bedrockians would have had that kind of technology! :D Maybe a few chips out of the sides and a slight chamfer perhaps?

Burnart...this is a car that can never be. You can't steer it and we all know it would never roll..heck the wheels are probably 1 ton by themselves. So I think the last thing I am goona worry about is the smoothness of them..plus it is all apart of what I have planned!

Just trying to help you make it better is all. All the other shapes are more organic so why not the wheels? But no sweat, its your project.
