Hey guys.


now i am to be angry about some mystical crashes.

It happends realy often and don´t understand why.

I work on my scene (what ever is) and save the scene.

Than i go to quit Truespace to make somewhat else and when i get back my interest on 3D i open TS and i get the message that ts will close and a dump file will generate.


what could it be ? can anyone see what is the problem when i post the dump file here ?

how can i upload the dumpfile for the Team Caligari ?

what makes me affraid ! i can handle the scene when i ignore the message about the crash but i have no idea what will happend with my svene when i work on it.

Does it open up with out crash if you try to open it a second time?

 This happens to me now and then - it crashes on opening, so I just run it again, and it opens. Of course it shouldn't do that, but so far it's not done any harm to my scenes or work so there shouldn't be anything destructive happening.

i try out it 4 times but on every time i get this message

Than (i though i am not stupid) i start TS, ignore the message about a crash report, go to file - new scene and a clear new scene comes up.

I go to file - save scene as tata.scn or what else .., go to file - quit and TS close. after TS close i go to the dumpile message i say don´t save the dump file and the message close.

Than i start TS and it open up with my last saved empty scene and the message for a crash report come back hmmm

damn i have no idea what caligari do wit my early favorite software but in the actual version ar so many bugs that i don´t see a future between me and Truespace.

I´m sorry to say this but i can´t work on this way.

Okay !


Here i am again and i start TS with the old good crash and dumpfile message.

TS shows a empty scene (remember the crah reportwindow is still open) and i can go to file - load scene, i load the beetle scene and all runs fine so far.

Here is a screengrab of the scene.

It shows (i hope so) that i can work in TS with the message on the right side.

Looks like i have to delete any TS system files to eliminate this message on ever start up.

hi Vizu , you can mail the dump to support@caligari.com .


in the readme there is a note about some of the model plugins causing problems with crashing on exit of tS .


check to see if your using one of the ones mentioned there , if not then you may have discovered a case where another plugin tsx is causing this issue to occur .


in any case please send me the dump and I'll have it looked at to see if it turns up any information or a reason why the crash is happening.


if it is a plugin then you may need to unload them one by one to find out which ones causing it .


you could also send me the scene via email in a zip as well it might be useful to look at.
