I stumbled across the fact that with trueSpace 6.6 and 7.5 Modeler rendered TGA files opens upside down when using them in a game engine. The developer of this game engine then told me that's because of a wrong set direction flag in the TGA file.


When i open the TGA's in Gimp and save it with Gimp then the pictures imports in the game engine as they should. So it seems that it is indeed the with trueSpace rendered TGA files which makes the trouble here. Maybe worth a fix ...

They open up fine in Gimp though right? ;)


Can you post a zip with the correct TGA and a zip with the incorrect TGA so that the devs can compare?

Well, it is of course nothing really dramatic compared with other TS quirks. And there is the file size issue anyway. The with TS rendered compressed TGA is 64 kb. The resaved file with Gimp is around 4 kb. And so i nevertheless better resave all my files in use. But would be neat when it would work without the need of reconversion :)
