When you upload an entry for the Monthly Gallery Contest you are asked if you want your email address being displayed. I have answered "NO" each time but the Gallery still shows your email address. Can someone please fix this?
Also while I'm at it...
Do you REALLY need to know our Graphics Card for EACH submission? I WISH it was better each time.... |

They did the same thing to me in the animation gallery. I would be happy if apart from my real name they showed my forum name so on the unlikely chance someone seeing my work wanted to contact me they could do it through the forum. How would you feel about that kind of arrangement Steinie? |

Burnart, yes I wouldn't mind my Forum name displayed under my real name. Either way my Forum name is on the Artwork already.
Which Animation did you do? Was it this month? |

I always click "No" on display e-mail, too, but mine works. And I don't know my graphics card in my laptop, so I just put "none", which pretty much means nothing special, and I've made it in the galleries plenty of times (all honerable mentions or special recognitions, though....). As a matter of fact, I made it this month with that hairball TS bug thing that Steinie said looked like a terrier! Lol, I don't think it really matters what you display as your graphics card, then, idk about the email thing though because mine works when I say no...

I did the 2 mapshop ones. A keyframed text thing and a physics sim one - although that had a bit of key framing on the "t" to get it out of the frame at the end. Kind of basic in lots of ways but I was pleased with how they turned out. |

Lol, I nice, I don't mind at all! And thanks for not showing the other view you see, lol! And thanks for the congrats, I'm getting kinda tired of only Honerable Mentions, though... I might start working on something bigger to hopefully get higher in the ranks...
Do you think that the forums may somehow interfere with the e-mail thing? If you have "Receive e-mail from Other Members" checked in the Forum Options, maybe for some reason it will display your e-mail in the gallery too...? I don't know though...

Bob, i think the gallery submision is not automaticly.. and yes, is not a good idea post our mails on the galery because there's lot of spam bots searching any @ on the internet..
I recomends to Caligari add a script to convert the e-mails on images (it is posible and i can help with that in PHP)
That fix the spam problem..:rolleyes: |

I dont mind my email being displayed, but if it was as an image, that would be better. I do get a number of people every now and then contacting me about my work :cool: which is nice but recently ive been getting an awfull lot of spam |

yup... i try to help many times to caligari with website but never recive a responce..:(

Caligari help doesn't work. Someone should start a thread about that so it's easier for Caligari to find it and fix it.

I am not sure what the scoop is on this one. Bit beyond my scope, but I will send along a request for answer and hopefully we can find out what is happening with the emails being shown. |

I believe we have this resolved now.
I am told that the "email" showing has been resolved and that the "suggestion" form is now set up to send to a well monitored email address.
Please let us know if there are any problems with "email showing" in future.

Now you've got that sorted any chance you could fix the problem from two months ago that's still there? My name and email is STILL attached to a pic I didn't do. The shiny goblets render in http://www.caligari.com/Gallery/ImagesGallery/2007/Apr/default.asp
I mentioned it on the forums and also sent an email but nothing was done. I really feel for the poor person who did do the pic not to get the credit for it. |

There is still the issue of having the wrong months showing in the Gallery. Enter the Gallery using the name, then enter clicking on the graphics. The Gallery titles are messed up. Two Months showing May 2007 for example. |
