I have imported an UV mapped OBJ into Modeler. I opened Workspace then, entered the UV Editor here, and it gave me a no valid selection.

Then i thought, alright, the mesh is still selected when coming from modeler. Maybe it needs nevertheless a focus click so that workspace has its needed focus. No luck. It still gives me no valid selection.

Finally, with opened UV Editor and clicking again at my still selected object it changes to the UV space. I feel for this is one click too much :)

I've complained about this one too. But it's the result of a bug fix. ;)

Basically all you have to do is select another object and then select the original object.

I'm hoping that a solution may be found via a feature improvement/addition. Fingers are crossed. :)

I still can't get this to go away. I just have one simple object in my scene, and nothing else to select.

As described, my point is a focus issue.

Reading your description it seems that you cannot get the UV editor to display anything at all. When that's the case then it is another issue.

But just to be sure, what happens when you open the UV editor and then click at your object two or three times? Does the No Valid UV Selection go away?

Never. It was there for over an hour, no matter what I clicked. It just said No valid selection. I gave up and got in done in fragmotion.

So you don't know tS? Then my guess is that you did something wrong. Give it another go when you have some sparetime i would say :)

So you don't know tS? Then my guess is that you did something wrong. Give it another go when you have some sparetime i would say :) I do that every two weeks, and I get the same result. I spend hours trying to figure out what I should be able to do in 2 seconds in any other app.

Even reading the manual didn't even tell me how to get a texture file in there. It just skips over that part and tells you how to Uv map it. Nice. When I exported the file out to UV map in Frag, TS had appended a whole skeleton system into it, that I never built, and didn't even check off for exporting.
