after a few attempts to create the same layout as my ts7.5 one, I find things like my 3d window keep disappearing..another can be created but it won't have the same winID numbers which are needed for making my toolbar scripts to be 'owned by' that window in default on anyones system.:(

also. the new 'file/help' bar makes a clone of itself on the 'library/panels/settings' tab area when I try to put the main tab window just around the library and put the library etc toolbar on the top ..or the clone is partly in the way of the library etc toolbar...the other file/help toolbar also gets partly hidden..

closing the main tab window, when just around library, leaves window[s] and toolbars behind.. so it seems ts 7.51 is not customizable like 7.5 was:mad:

I had exactly the same issue.

The way to fix it is this.

Don't drag a 3d window onto your desktop background. Make sure you 'overlap' it onto another window and build up from there.

If you look at the top of the image on page 13 of the manual (Chapter 2 User Interface) you will notice that is made up of 4 separate windows. That will fail as a layout. If you now go to page 16 and look at the image captioned as "More complex docking of preset 4-View layout" you will see one bar along the top of the layout indicating a single window with multiple panels set into it. That layout would not fail.

Why this is the case I don't know. I am assuming it is a bug that was introduced in 7.51 as like you I had no problems before.

The above should help you fix the layout. if its not clear what I am saying just ask or tell me how your interface was setup and I will recreate a working version for you.

Cheers
