I've built a bot from primitives and added in a skeleton, then used the 'Attach object to bone' for 'skinning'.

If I copy the character and resize it, I can use the Dynamic Pose tool to pull it around as normal, but if I click on a joint and manipulate it with the widget, the attached part of the character reverts to the original size

I attach a pic of the effect...

That's an interesting result. :)

I'm glad you spotted this one before the patch release (I haven't confirmed it myself). I hope they have the time to get it worked out.

I haven't tried it - just as a point of clarification once you move out of the joint edit mode does the size reversion bounce back to what you want?

No it doesn't. It seems that the change is permanent and no amount of posing, skeleton shaping, etc makes it jump back again. Undo is the only option (or physically moving the joint back to its resized position)

Frame 0, no animation. I'm just trying to set a pose.

I have been able to recreate the problem with just a simple snake skeleton and no skinning or object-to-bone attachment. Same thing happens when joint editing with the dynamic pose tool. See pic - the smaller snake is a copy of the larger one and the two large bones in the smaller snake have reverted after rotating the joints...

I can confirm the dynamicpose tool just like that.

If you move frameslider it should pop back.

Also might help to set a keyframe on frame zero default pose position before hand. Hope that helps for now..

dynapose will preserve scaling when using FK in 7.51.
