Here is a quick set of grabs of the vehicle that I'm making. The idea came from a one of those little weighted wooden cars (can't remember the name:() I made in the 4th grade (8 years ago wow:eek:). When I was sketching it with my nice tablet I messed up a little bit, as you can see below, and went with it.;) The overall shape is very much the same, but the original thing was rather boxy.

Edit: It won't fly, it will in fact have wheels and drive.

Alright I added some windows (painted black in the picture so they could actually be seen), room for some headlights and a door handle.

I'm trying to decide whether or not I should actually put an interior, or simply have the windows like they are now except reflective.

Here are two wire outlines of the model so far, these are from before and after the 3 layers of sds were applied.

It is modeled with mirror modeler.

The gaps at the door edges are just boxy "U" shapes, with respect to the normal.

Looks cool, however two observations. One where is the front windshield? Is it a camera type deal with a screen on the inside? Second. You may want to smooth out thoes wheels. Based on the shape now, that is gonna be one bumppy ride!

Wheels are just placeholders at the moment and as for the windshield I have a few ideas.

1. Make a windshield on either side of the vehicle above the lights.

2. The camera deal you were talking about.

3. Slightly redesign the front so either the wheel is internalized or two wheels on the sides.

For the camera deal I would need to show it somehow I would think.

[EDIT] New idea: make the wheel squish smaller vertically and be slightly wider. Like a sideways cylinder with the mid part slightly larger than the ends. (will upload a pic later)

Haven't updated it a while, been kinda busy putting my portfolio for college together and such. I redesigned the front (seen above) and pulled the wheels out to avoid confusion as I'm not working on the wheels yet. This is just texturing, otherwise I haven't really done anything else. I'm more or less finished with the body anyway so just need to do some final things. Feel free to point out what might be missing.

Are you still going to still have the big front wheel like you had?

No, it will still be quite wide though, between half and two-thirds the width of the vehicle, but it will fit right under the front there and will extend down just far enough to keep the vehicle high enough off the ground for turning.
