Hi i found on Vray1.0 the Transparency texture are downsample.

Here you find the Vray Render

5694

and Here is the Lightworks Render.

5695

*Test with any texture more than 2042x1024 with alpha.

By the way, here you can see the other vray bug, dont remember if i post here, but I comment to Paul Ashington personaly..
Render to file with the same angle or camera only changing the render engine, the FOV is totaly diferent from Vray and Lightworks.. its clearly see the diference on this tests..

Thats why i cant merge lightworks renders with vray renders..

*The good news for the lightworks 6.6 users, on 7.11 the transparency bug is fixed.. in 6.6 the texture behind the trasparency (earth texture) was downsample.

Did you check your texture resolutions in the modeler (right click on the "Show as Opaque" "Show As Wireframe" etc icons).

Note that there are three texture resolutions there. One controls the texture res in the player which in turn controls the texture res in V-Ray since it renders from the player.

By default these are often quite low.

Not saying it will make a difference, but interested to know (also be sure to use High quality in V-Ray which often defaults to Medium).

HTH!

Maybe add on there, Txt Res player and Vray was be ok, for the UI..

*In Lightworks Renders, the texture not depends from the Txt Res.. depends only for the real texture res.. the Txt Res is only when you use Draw objects as solids.. and thats is ok, because you can increse if you have a good vga, and decrese if you don't.

With this, if you need render a Vray image, you must load on the textures to the vga memory (correct me if im wrong)

Maybe in a future, use the same method to Vray can be great.

And the "Txt res for Player" must be ONLY for the player preview.

Just my opinion :) cheers..

? Don't understand right but no. Everything what you see in viewspace is loaded in gpu mem but if you render a picture, the direct textures from the hdd will be used.
In ts7.5 there is no problem with this anymore (set low or high textures like it was some time). It's now the same like for Lightworks.
You can set the texture resolution for the viewspace as always at the modeler site but at render it's always used the direct texture from your specific folder.

Also saw no downsampling/transparency etc. problems in vray for ts7.5 so far.
