Follow this steps...

You dont have any problem to render.. over vray over lightworks.. render its ok.. but you cannot select any faces created on this Phantom Face..

The only way i found to kill this phantom is delet the object.. and press CONTROL + Z ...

Again, Plz confirm!!

Best Regards...

I know nothing about tS7.x but I'm pretty sure that the inner workings of tS7 are still tS6. In tS6 sometimes during "point edit mode" such as you have done here by extruding a face, tS will become a little confused as to which is the INSIDE face and which is the OUTSIDE face (especially if there is a face within a face as in your example).

Your phantom face is actually an "inside-out" face. In real time render mode it will not be rendered, and is difficult to select unless you move your view INSIDE the object and select the face from INSIDE.

Select the entire object and select the flip face icon (not the one in the point edit group because this will flip all faces) and then click on these phantom faces.

Now you will be able to select them normally and they will render in real time. It also may help if the "backside" check box is selected.

If you still have trouble selecting the face, vertice, or point, exit point edit mode and then return to it. You should be able to select it now.

tS 6.6
I can confirm the missing faces in the realtime display; renders fine.
I can continue to select any face on the object.
No selection problems, even the 'missing' faces can be selected.

If you follow Only my steps you get this error.. and its not a fliped face.. because you cant flip.. its like ther is no face...

OH!! important the problem apears if you use ONLY " Draw Object with Solid "

You cannot select the face with the right click to edit... or any face create over the phantom face... if you select viewed face you can select the phantom.. WIERD!!

if you cannot reproduce the problem maybe its local.. who knows

BTW... Delet the object and CONTROL Z its the only way to fix... Try!

Thats not a Graphic Card problem because i cant select any faces build over the phantom Face.. Thats a software problem.. I dont think the grafic card interfiere with the modeling methods....

I think it is more a geometry problem. TS is in trouble to define if a face is a face here. Too much edges that are not connected to the rest of the mesh. Try to connect one of your swept meshparts with the rest of the mesh. I could bet your problem will vanish :)

EDIT: i had a closer look and noticed that Prodigy has 3D Controls off while Wireframe has them on. Maybe that is the trouble part?
