Hi,

Just upgraded to TS7.11 from 6.6. TS takes 10 minutes to start and uses 50% CPU when starting. I get an alert loading libraries from disk.

Anyone seen this?

Thanks

Steve

The first time you run tS7.11 after installation/upgrade it will take a little while to start up - this is because it is decompressing many of the libraries. After that it should start up much quicker.

If you have a scene autoloading when tS7.11 starts then that can slow things down depending on the complexity of the scene, textures and whether the Bridge is enabled.

Thanks Bobbins, I'm still waiting for it to start since my first post... I will be patient for a little longer.

Well, after a lot more investigation and a quick look at the FAQ for Truespace 7 I have found that my driver for the Nvidia GEForce Go 7600 was at fault. Unfortunately Toshiba have not released a later version and the downloaded Nvidia driver does not recognise the card, so I'm stuck..

Luckily I have another computer and TS7.11 is working really well on that.. (GeForce Go 6600).

Thanks for your help.

I discovered this site last week:

http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

I had not been able to run TS7.11 on my main machine since purchase, and Toshibas latest driver for the Nvidia go 7600 still didn't work.

I used the above site with their inf modifier to assist the install and am now running Nvidia driver 9.3.5.0, and TS7.11 is running perfectly!

Hope this helps others.
