Wigand, this is in version 7.11 right? Something very similiar happened to me twice in a row but I couldn't document steps exactly. In player I had changed view to top. I was playing with the mesh, and then no warning just poof!

The properties of TS7.exe shows 7.1.0.4 from 14 April 2006 16:11:06. But

the splash window (while starting) shows 7.11.

On my PC I have a DX9c with development-files, maybe this is the reason

for crash.

Did you try my steps on your computer?

Current debug version does not crash (no changes to mesh simplifier code from 7.1)...

Need to check release..

Can you send error address and module? (is it meshmodifiers.dll or tsbehavior.dll or something else?)

I can confirm following your steps does not create a crash here. But after your steps, I created a normal map, waited for the status to update and the shell turned black! Activating the undo turns the shell white.

Latest release build does not crash here.

Please in command line type

MeshModifiers.EnableCrashReporting();

try your steps again. Then when crash occurs, tS will ask you to save minidump. Please, post it here so I can inspect what has happend on your machine.

Confirmed.

Bug is in material transfer from player to modeler.
