The number of things that are standard, yet some browsers don't support them or do them differently, is quite surprising (and frustrating). Will get it looked into! Thanks! Turns out that for a table cell "style='background:#E8D4ED' was not setting the color in firefox, though it was in ie. Has been changed to use: bgcolor="E8D4ED" Which happily sets the background color for the cell in both IE and Firefox. Just in case that proves of interest to any web dev people out there. HTH!
