I have a scanned version of a persons head as a mesh.

I UV wrap a texture on it and in Lightworks and Virtualight render correctly. Vray shows *nothing* at all, and I assume is not understanding the texture. The texture is a 32 bit .tga file.

What is happening?

UPDATE - sorry - Vray is rendering only the grey untextured model.. HELP!

Hi does the texture show in the player window.

There are no issues I am aware of with 32bit tga files they should render.

Could you show a screen shot of the materials properties.

Hi Cayenne,

I see a correctly textured object when in the Modeller workspace, and now a white untextured object in Player (which I assume means thats why Vray is rendering it incorrectly)

Modeller Materials and Player Texture captures attached

**UPDATE** - Now vRay is working fine (I dont know why! although I suspect it may be because I had smoothing on at 30% - will check..)

The texture shininess in the player window texture dialogue is set to 3 and this could be what was making the material appear white,.

Numbers closer to 0 in this dialogue mean more shiny.

Remember vray is taking the information from player window to perform the rendering, so if the player preview is white then the render will be white as well.

Thanks for update.
