I have built this scene in tS6.6 and loaded it in tS7.1.

In tS7.1, I have edited some lights and rendered using Lightworks engine.

Once the job done, I saved the scene in tS6.6 compatibility mode to keep the lights setup and continue editing...

Now, I open it in tS6.6, but some faces are weird (edges created in volumes) and ALL the materials are reset to default (white color, default shader, etc...)

That scene is made of 258 objects, 83 409 faces, 17 265 vertex. Not a big one.

Very nice - is that your home? - Pity about the backward compatibility!

I think that would be anybodies dream home. :jumpy:

I've no idea about the problems with backwards compatability though, don't have tS7 yet

I learned about the incompatibility issue while I was using ts7.0 beta. Forget a complex scene like yours, if you setup a simple scene in tS7.x with a sphere and added a "stock" material like rough surf or one of the "other" library materials that have been in tS for ages, save the scene as ts6.6 all you will have when you open the scene in ts6.6 is the sphere model with NO material. :(

You do some fine work - very well done. I'm sorry to hear about the compatibility issue, and hope you have a backup somewhere, or that the repairs go smoothly. :icon_Player_Layouts
