Need more details really; is this straight after installation, after any noticable changes to the interface layout etc. or after applying the 7.1 patch? |

This has been a problem since day one that trueSpace7.1 was released. I have followed the recomended installation instructions. I do not have a patch. I have changed nothing. From Modeler, if I Ctrl drag the Animation toolbar out from the left side the missing toolbars appear. Also note that there are two Player toolbars that were under the Animation toolbar. I leave them there and switch to Player then back to Modeler and the two Player toolbars are gone. This never happened too me with 7.0 nor 7.01. |

Have you tried loading the missing toolbars from the toolbar library (left hand side in full layout near the plug in icon)? |

Im finding it hard to picture from just text descriptions - could you do screen grabs, and highlight the missing parts? Also a "before and after" set of grabs would be good for the changing to player and back again problem you describe. With the images, there wont be any confusion or mistakes over which toolbars you are referring to.
Thanks!

F.Y.I.
Picture 1.) Open in Full View. Notice missing Modeling and View Aspect Bar toolbars.
Picture 2.) Ctrl drag Animation toolbar out. Missing toolbars now appear. Also notice Player toolbar in lower left.
Picture 3.) Switch to Modeler then back to Player. Notice Player toolbars are now gone which is the way it should be. |

Thanks for the images, much better!
I can't confirm this at the moment, but I wonder if this is resolution related - what resolution are you running at so I can copy that?
Thanks!

Given your problems with Dual View as well, I would take the re-install route as suggested by Tom. No point investigating this much further if you are going to do a full clean and reinstall anyway. Just copy your entire C:\truespace7\TS folder so you can reload scenes etc. later on. Good luck either way...:) |

Can't duplicate this, even at your resolution. I do get the anim toolbar down there, but I still get the regular toolbar for rendering, view, etc up top too.
I would indeed suggest the process of uninstalling, deleting, and reinstalling, this looks like some cross-over of various versions causing conflict.
If you could please try that, and then retest this situation, and let us know the results, then we can take it from there.
Thanks!

Splinters: Thank you for your suggestions. Please note that I have followed all of your advice before I submitted the original thread. I have reinstalled 3 times. I have been able to repeat all of these problems each and every time. I have planned to reinstall again but I wanted to get the screen grabs as TomG had asked. |

Yes, sorry for the trouble on diagnosing these. So far not been able to repeat. If it happens when you have completed the reinstall (again :( ) then please mail me direct at thomas@caligari.com, let me know your system specs including ram, graphics card make and ram, cpu, etc, and I'll forward the info along internally.
Thanks!

Yes I have tried that and it does not work. I have also discovered that the Animation toolbar is missing from the Toolbars icon in both the Full view and Default view.

I spent a few hours investigating this ... went to reply ... Stan piped in with correct answer. Wish I would have scrolled up further before I went head deep into the LE and toolbar prototypes :D
Good eye Stan.
I believe the way these toolbars work is being looked into by developers over next while. Perhaps when they get time from new animation work, this could be resolved. |

Norm..it should only be a matter of making new stock layouts with the up to date toolbar nodes..there should be stock layouts for 1024x768 as well..I've found no reason why you can't run at that res.. |
