1) I have been working with Frank in the roundtable forum trying to figure out why TS 5, 6.0 and 6.5 are not showing Primitive after runningthe Voodoo 2 TS script (it is a camera matching script). This is extremely frustrating because it will render out the PLACE MARKERS (which the script initiates), but any NEW object placed in the scene will not render.

2) There is a script that Frank has written that gets truncated for some reason (he is even baffled) when brought into TS 5, 6, 6.5 -

Any ideas?

I have not used Python in tS, so not familiar with it's paths etc.

I've used it in Paint Shop Pro and earlier windows system and here's one thing that bit me in the behind.

I had the scripter path to PSP outside of the root directory (i.e. not in your C drive or a different drive/or partion.)

What I didn't realize is that Python resorts to the old DOS system of settling path environments by truncating file names to 8.

So, C:/trueSpace66/DIR becomes C:/trueSpac/DIR.

Not sure if this is your problem, but it was one that took me forever to figure out in PSP. The solution was moving the scripter package to the root where the API can address properly.

Now that I know a tiny bit more though is that you can do this much easier and resolve any future problems by re-establishing the environment in Windows System Properties Environment under the Control Panel. So, no physical movement is necessary.

How that helps. :(

I phrased it wrongly. I meant that when running the script, the code is truncated - so "POSITION" -> POSITI

Not the name of the file, but rather in the coding inside it. Thanks for the reply though!
