When I try to edit a DX material in the LE this error pops up. Seems to happen
only with DX materials.

SteveBe,

I just tried editing the blank DX material and the "Hair" material in LE, and they work fine. Maybe you have an error somewhere in the MS Jscript reading process? Do other scripts work?

Hi optimiztic,

Yes other scripts seem to work fine.

SteveBe could you post a screen shot of the LE when this happens next, are you still seeing the icons in the bottom Left to show the components and shaders libraries when you enter the material to edit it.

thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

I'm not sure what you mean by bottom left. Do you mean bottom left of LE?

I don't see any libs in the bottom left. Attached cap of LE just before the error.
After I click the entry button the error pops up.

Hi , I cannot find the steps recreate this scenario here .

There are two possible solutions to try in this scenario. the error is occurring because the components and shaders libraries buttons are not showing.

solution 1 is to use the reset to default.ctx button, to restore the default state of tS. and see if the error goes away.

solution 2 would be to re-install, after making sure you have exported your personal created object/scenes and other libraries to an external file so you can reload them.

I would be very interested to find definate steps to recreate this error, so if you could find the steps or action that lead up to first occurance of the error message I would be grateful.

thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

I tried solution 1 yesterday so I'll back-up and try a re-install. I'll keep you
posted.

Seems to be running fine with re-install. Will post if error appears again.

Thanks,
Steve
