Just to post it here as a feature request...

just in case nurbs are not dead for Truespace.

Normaly booleans work extremly well with nurbs objects so

I would like to have those in TS 8 .. 9.. 100...

Or to put it like Tom says I want a Ferrrari engine in Truespace :D

I know you do Johny but i get hit on the head if i say those three letters !:D

I see polygonal modeling as much more difficult and many people in this forum

use the poly tools as if they were nurbs tools and that in many cases doesnt work the way they want it to.....

A very good and easy implementation of new nurbs tools AND BOOLEANS

would help get more people to model.....

everything rises and falls with the implementation.

Even a very good implementation of 3dm and iges files would be helpfull !

You can punch holes in models like through butter !;)

The box was done in less then 4 minutes in a nurbs modeler and rendered in Vray in Truespace

You could so this in truespace, easily. The major benefit of moi over ts is the fact you can fillet the resulting curves. This would be nice, however I don't ever see this happening in truespace.

Of course, with no renderer, what's the point anyway? I appreciate moi, being a nurbs guy since rhino 1 and max 2 (haven't done much recently, though), however feature suggestions like this are about twelve months too late.

import/export iges with TS and moi3d work well with the conversion pack. It is that kind of function need to implant in TS8. The problem is the coast of the license for a free software. Same problem with import Adobe illustrator curves update. It is imposible to buy the conversion pack today because nobody buy it.

If nurbs were effectiv in TS, then the users understanding their usefulness and this would create a demand for plug as conversion pack to come back. Everything depends on what Microsoft will decide. But it is impossible to know what TS8 will be... if one day there will be a TS8. is a privately held community resource website dedicated to Active Worlds.
