Unless I can't find it, (which wouldn't surprise me), a polygon counter would be really essential, especially for game models, when you need to know just how many poly's you have. Of course, if there is a way to figure this out, that is pre-exisiting, I'd sure like to know what it is.

Thanks.

You can use the Object Info box on the model side to show how many polygons are in a selected model. Would be good to see this count in workspace, to go along with the vertex count that is there already, agreed :)

There is a script that you can drag into the link editor to show this.

First Click on the library browser.(It is at the bottom right. It looks like a a magnifying glass over a folder.

Then scroll down to the Objects-Script objects.(image thumbnail looks like a orange chair ) Then double click on it

Scroll down to the second to last row. It is called "Object Information"
Double click on that or drag it into the Link editor.

Select the object you wish to see how many faces it has and look in the link editor for the info.

It tells more info then the face and vertex count too :)

here is a later version. Nice interface and overcame one problem with that object info in script objects library; darn timer inside stays active. (you can export the "active" attribute on timer event to activate/deactivate from front end if you like).

This version has "manual" or "auto". So it can be set into motion for single tick of clock when manual is used, or stay active if "auto" is clicked.

'Single Tick' you say Norm? Mmmm very interesting! I've had that on my list to investigate for some time. I downloaded the object and will take a look!

One of the things I am not thrilled about either of the Object Info Panels for the LE is when you change the name, it does not stick, you need to go into the regular Object Info Panel in the stack to do that. Norm the panel you have tends to be more problematic about those names changing.

Still they are a great asset and I have them both up and running to see what they can do.

Thanks!
