How about a system which warns the User from handling errors?

Look at this thread for example http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=3521
If TS warns the User "Do you really want to split that bone?" such unknowable things won't happen.

TS badly needs something like this!

I wouldn't object to this in principle as long as you could turn it off. All you have to do is wait for the joint or bone to highlight under your cursor and it works like it's supposed to every time for me. It highlights these elements bright yellow, so I don't know how you could miss them.

For me this proposal sounds very good.

I also think about some other warning features. F. e. a warning if the polygon number of a scene comes into a critical range and TrueSpace could crash.
