I'm going to say, No, there isn't unless you use the 6.6 side..AKA Model. I say "no" because if you want to use V-ray and particles you need to do compositing, and you cannot do that in 7.51(external program required). If you want to use lightworks for renders then you will be ok.

I guess we will have to be a bit more specific about which aspect of 7.5 we are talking about - workspace (new - 7.51 ) or modelside (old - 6.6).

This thread raises the whole question of plugins for the workspace side. Will there be any in something akin to the old tsx format or will it only be via LE objects lovingly crafted by skilled users? At the risk of stating the obvious a full blown particle system sounds pretty complicated.

It took years to get one integrated into trueSpace in the first place. tS 6 was the first to have particles native to the package(I think). We requested it as far back as I can remember, before 3.0 was out even. The forums were much different then. This is the 3rd set of forums I've known since I satrted using tS, not counting the ts4um...rant rant....blah blah blah.

An API and SDK for tS7.5 is being developed. Since Scripts are always readable by the public, that introduces a limit for developers who want to protect their trade secrets :)

With the API / SDK then developers will be able to code dlls for incorporation into tS in a similar way as plugins were made for tS6.6 etc. We'd be happy to hear from any developers interested in keeping up to date with the development of the SDK (you can just mail me, thomas@caligari.com)

HTH!
