No dis respect intended, but you always seem to ask for features no one else really concern themselves with...checksum?, c'mon man.

Got to agree about the checksum. It's been years since I've bothered using the checksum to test a download for errors. Downloads have been accurate for me 99.9% of the time. And with high speed internet, TS 7.51 and VRay downloaded

fast enough that if they had been a bad download, I would have just tried downloading again. :D

Sorry wigand, you seem like a fairly decent fellow..never noticed any rudness or anything, but this is not the only suggestion that is a bit "off" IMHO. I will let this rest though and I apologize if I may have insulted you. My intent is to get you to think a bit about the suggestions, and how they affect the community. Feel free to send me a PM if you wish to discuss this further.

The reason for this post was:

I had problems with installing VRay. All seemed to be okay.

The setup runs without an error message. But if I tried to

start a render, TS crashed. So Emma gave me the advise to

download it again. Now it works.

The first time, I installed TS7. I had a similar problem.

So it is not unusual...

I think it would be very easy to put a checksum function into a setup

Nobody needs to see this function, but sometimes it helps.

(At my job I work with expensive chromatographie software.

They use a validation check, to test all the dlls and activeX if they

are compatible. I think it is not a crazy idea)

Possible, but it sounds like a local problem. Maybe a faulty connection...watch those packets.
