I shouldbe more specific, an integrated wireframe shader, not a workaround, and not a plugin. A wireframe shader.

For which engine? Real-time of course already has this, just display the object as wireframe.

On the Model side, I believe LW has one, you can render to wire and hidden wire, it's not a shader though, it renders the whole scene that way. Not entirely sure what you are looking to achieve, so hard to know if that is going to work for you :)

HTH!

When I first read this, I immediately thought of the wire frame shader included with 3ds Max which takes the objects wireframe and adds thickness to the wireframe when rendered using the material you create, if that helps, which would be really cool to have.

Allows you to set the thickness of the wire effect. Correct me if I am wrong, you can do this in TS7.5 in realtime display but it can't be rendered that way, unless I missed something.

I know this isn't what you mean Nowherebrain, but I just thought I bring it up...I seem to remember something about the Thickness tool in the Boolean drop-down being able to achieve a kind of wire-frame thickness (or something like that) but I guess that same effect could be achieved by the multiple face selection and bevel of Workspace now.

(Just remember, if I'm totally off-base with this...I'm just a newbie:) )

daybe has got it right, rendered wire....not RT wire a shader(lightworks/vray).

I'm trying to get my boss to make the jump to tS 7.5 and ditch autocad...autocad is probably the best tool for the job, but he also likes my 3D representations...if I could do both in tS it would make life easier.
