Thought I would join in.
I am just building a conventional Castle, really more of a way to get used to the workside more, and try to get better with textures.
I have made a start, (I added texture just as a test), and decided to post early in the build just to show I was joining in.

A good start stem - I hope you come to like the workspace and TR shaders as much as I do!
For future reference your castle could make a cool Real Time Environment for exploring in First Person mode. |

good start. I would make the merlons a bit smaller though.
Here is a good place to see the parts of a castle.

It's already looking good Stem. :) I find that doing a project is the best way to learn a new interface. |

Hi Kena,
I would make the merlons a bit smaller though.I am basing the model on Alnwick castle (pic here (http://www.freefoto.com/images/1033/02/1033_02_1---Alnwick-Castle_web.jpg)) Although by the time its finished it may look different,... but did not want to build one of the symmetrical type of castles.

Hi jack,
I find that doing a project is the best way to learn a new interface. As the updated TS is running much better that the last version, I can at least attempt to complete, and as you say, it is learning as I go.
