I've been experimenting with DX Shaders today and there are some things about the player window that really drive me nuts.

#The object manipulation widgets should not rotate on screen when the POV is changed. Sometimes it is impossible to grab a specific handle because of the widgets' direction.

#Widgets, lights, cameras, bones etc. should NOT be lit by the scene light setup. It's impossible to see a spotlight which is not lit by another light. A camera which is outside the range of the scene lights is not visible!! If there's just one infinite light, it's almost impossible to see which direction it's facing. Personally I would prefer vector based representations anyway (instead of 3D models). It's even possible to edit the light geometry in point edit mode, which is absolutly nonsense and unnecessary IMHO.

#I'd like to have the option back, to have lights, cameras, etc. represented as wireframe/vectors. While editing the scene or objects, they often get in the line of sight and cover the parts of the object that have to be edited.

#Possibility to shorcut move, rotate and scale. The move, rotate and scale buttons don't seem to do anything. I'd like to have the same shortcuts for object- and point edit manipulation. Like "s" scales the object, and scales the selection while in point edit mode.

That's all for now, I might find something more within the next days

So you're saying you want the objects to display like this?

This a screen grab from tS 7.1. That is a Player camera and an infinite light.

Well, I guess I will customize everything myself and save it into my own library. Seems to be the way to go.
