Hi all..

http://www.archvision.com/default.cfm

Found a PREATY good software plugin for the most common 3d Softwares... And work on Lightworks ...

BUUUUUUTTTT... doesn't support Any TRUESPACE verision... at the moment..

In some part of the site say...

http://www.archvision.com/RPCPlugins.cfm (maybe you must be registred)

"We're working to get RPC support built into all of the 3D applications that you use. At present, however, we don't have them all covered. This is where you can help. If you don't see your application shown below, send that developer an email expressing your desire to see RPC supported within their application. Please copy those messages to us as well at rstevens@archvision.com."

About a year i send a mail for both comapies.. but caligari doesnt have time to make a new plugin Thats what answer to me on that moment...

I think NOW with TRUESPACE 7 Its time to upgrade our graphics and dont stay in past... For those people who work on architectual visualization this is a EXELENT pack for boost owr job..

YOU HAVE THE VOTE.. Its Caligari Business hear us or not...

Hi.. thanks for post..

With this plugin, you can put 360º people.. cars.. trees.. photoquality.. with a single poligon...

You put a plane.. with a texture from a person.. when you rotate.. and look tis plane.. the plane allways looks to you but change the texture.. for the same angle at you see.. and "create" a 3d person with a single polygon..

Sorry for my explain in "english" i hope you understand...

You can add photorealistic trees with leaves.. like a photo.. with a single poligon and you can see the tree from 360º and its not a plane.. are a 360º texture...

the best result ist for persons.. try to found some demo animations .. i think are some on the page..

In a minutes gonna try to found.. and post..

Best regards...

There are many animations with bery bery good quality.. and the cars.. trees and people. are with a single poligon.. belive it or not..

For architectual visualization are the BOOM!

I think are many plugins more complex.. than this.. but im not a developer.. and + the people from Archivision wont to creat and help for developers..

I send a mail for both companyes but i dont have good results.. Now i hope have better responce..

On the world of architectual viz this plugin its indispensable.. For static images.. and better for animations...

Thanks

That's pretty cool. Yeah I bet the archetecture and product visualization people would find that really useful. Especially since they wouldn't have to do character animation to have people walking around their scene and I imagine it really speeds up render times too. :)

looks nice but the problem I see is money.

If I have understand it right then:

You need a plugin to use these special rpc material and I haven't found a program where you can make your own 3D or 2,5D pictures, which means that you get this stuff just from this company and a look at the price from a 3D collection pulls out my shoes.

Jack. how are u... yes.. you get fastest render times because you reduce the poligons.. Example many trees...

thanks Prodigy, well that program I haven't found :D

But the free version can just create 2D objects. I guess simple billboards (a flat plane which always look to the camera).
The $399 pro version can create 2,5 up to 3D objects too.

OK with the creator it looks like a good deal. Just the plugin we would still need.

I was thinking about this and it seems that you could implement this via script. Just have it load a different texture file depending on the camera angle. The trick would be keeping track of the original orientation since you'd have to rotate the plane everytime you changed files. Then again might be more flexible to just select the next one in the series relative the the current one based on it's filename...

So for objects you could create these files by taking photos of the object from specific angles. I remember that they used to do this in the old 2D games to make things look 3D back before 3D hardware came out. You'd need one of those Matrix type camera set ups to do people walking and stuff. Guess a person would have to rent time at a studio for that unless you could get the person to stand REALY still lol...
