Just wanted to ask. Which snapping tools you would like to see implemented in Player?

I expect lists something like:

snapping:

grid snapping, vertex to vertex, vertex to edge, vertex to edge point (1/2, 1/3..), vertex to face, ...

constraints: axes locking,...

thanks

Well all I can say is throw in as many configurations as you can, making sure that all bases are covered; moving a single point to snap to another point, or moving an entire selection with a selected point to snap to another point, etc.. Something along those lines.

That's just an example, but whatever gets done, I just hope to see a nice robust snapping toolset is all. If I think of anything more specific I'll throw it up here.

Ability to snap polygon face rotation to certain angles (45°, 90°, etc.) would be handy.

... yeah and bridge edges, bridge faces, bridge points. Than we need edge extrude and point extrude ...

To bridge a vertex (point) with another one would create a line, I think that's maybe but not very handy. Bridge edges sounds good. Bridge faces is already in Player.

hmmm. Player bridge tool blends also edges. You can combine bridging faces, edges and vertices together. You can even blend polygons with holes...

If you want to blend edges with singlesided face, use add face instead of blend.

but, this should be thread about snapping & constraints...

I know Vizu and he's not a careful reader :p

Everything you said Tomas, would come in handy.

Constraints: not only to axis, but to the normal of a face would be very useful.
