This idea has been floated around in many differant forms. Besides the Image contest have a display room where the best of the best images are kept. Not necessarily images from the gallery but images from Calagari, Beta testers, Users etc. You know, drop dead I've got to have this program renderings. I've seen many through the years that would not win the gallery because of the criteria it is judged on. There is no doubt in my mind that Truespace would take off in sales!

Let's face it Truespace's users are at all levels and the Gallery fits that perfectly but to sell Truespace you really need polished, professional works I would call the "Golden Images" There could be about 12 and they would be updated each month to keep the gallery fresh.

Historicaly Truespace has been known for it's great graphical interface. How about changing that perception to include it's output?

I think this is a fantastic idea, sort of like features works, there is a fair amount of great work already posted to the forums as well as the monthly galleries, and perhaps maybe if everyone was willing to send in the best image or two there would be more then enough as not everyone enters the monthly contest. Softimage has a monthly image contest where the viewing votes on there favorite perhaps we could arrange something like that for this idea.

Just a thought.

Steinie, I would add to that the idea of having trueSpace 'Masters' in much the same way that Maya awards the master status to very experienced users. Really just a form of mutual promotion. Nearest Caligari has is the one-man show; the last of which was Andy Kay who has quite publically moved on to other 3D package now.

Like Maya, it would allow new users to see what a 'master' can really do with TS and should also help generate interest (and sales :D ).

Again, just an idea...but I already have a shortlist of contender's.
