This is something I would love to see changed. Ok, Right click on an object in Player. The editing tools pop up near where you are editing. Ok this is all fine and good. But every action you take moves the tools. For instance if you want to make a series of sweeps. Click sweep one time and the sweep happens but the toolbar moves with the sweep. So now you have to move your mouse to the new locaton and click sweep again. Again the tools move. Each time you click on sweep the tools move. Depending on where this is happening the toolbar can eventually end up behind another toolbar and you have to adjust the scene to get the tools visible again.

Now I know that you can move the toolbar to an edge of the screen and it will stick there, at least temporarily. If the toolbar closes and then you access it again it is back to floating. I find this extremely annoying. I want to place the tools in a specific location and have them be there every time I access them. I don't want them to be in a different location each and every time and I surely don't want them moving all over the place every time I click on a tool.

Player PE toolbar should not move. Modeler PE toolbar moves - there is not much we can do with it, the modeler PE toolbar is like 3d widget and it's pinned to object bounding box. Player PE toolbar opens below cursor position and it is possible to specify location for it and it will always open there (this feature is undocumented because there are some windows manager issues (nothing serious))

Doh!!! You're right. It is Model space where the tools jump all over the place. Thanks for the clarification.

So what is the secret to getting the tools to always open in the same place in Player? This is something I would definitely prefer. I don't like having them open up in the middle of the screen and then have to move them to the edge of the screen every time.

Find /Widgets/Edit/point edit widget/Widget toolbar and check Remember state checkbox. If checked, toolbar will get hidden instead od closing and after showing again it will be on it's last position. The probel is that when docking/undocking windows etc. toolbar will also show which is a bug... .
