I want to share with you a little program I wrote yesterday.
It's not a TS Script, but a seperate one.
Please play with it and tell me what you think.
Put formulas in the TextBox, click start and you get a texture.
You can save it as Texture.BMP in a chosen folder.
Here are some function you can start with
rnd(1)*127+127
rnd(1)*255
sin(x)*255
sin(y)*255
sin(y)*255+sin(x)*255
sin(y)*20*sin(x)*20
x+(y*y)*0.004
I hope the program starts. There should be no installation needed.
But maybe you need the VB6 runtime library like.
http://www.download-tipp.de/shareware_und_freeware/203.shtml.
Please tell me any problems or questions. |

It's no update, because i got no response. But here are some samples to
show a litte the possibilities of this programm.
If you own TS7.5 try the diplacements, it looks great with these textures :)
Here are the formulas for the pictures:
t1:
sin(x*0.1)*cos(y*0.1)*127+127
t2:
x+y
t3:
x-y
t4:
x*rnd(1)-y*rnd(1)
t5:
rnd(1)*127+127
t6:
sin(x*0.1)*255-y
t7:
sin(x*0.06)*100-y*sin(y*0.05)*0.5
t8:
1/log(x*0.05)*y*2.5
t9:
abs(sin(x*0.03))*y*6
t10:
0.6*rnd(1)*x/sin(y*0.036)*2
t11:
sin(x*y)*180+50
t12:
sin(x^((60*1/y)+1))*180+50
t13:
sqr(x*x+y*y)
t14:
sin(x*0.1)*y-sin(x*0.1)*127+127
t15:
(cos(y*0.1)-sin(x*0.1))*80+100
t16:
sin(x*0.1)*cos(y*0.1)*10000
t17:
sin(x*0.025)*cos(y*0.025)*10000
t18:
sin(x*0.1*(cos(x*0.05)+sin(x*0.05)))*cos(y*0.1*(co s(x*0.05)+sin(y*0.05)))*500
t19:
sin(x*0.1)*cos(y*0.1*(cos(x*0.05)))*500 |

I'm just not good with textures... I downloaded your program and tried it out, but really could not get such good results. I guess I mostly find textures on the internet and use them It did look like a good program though. I don't see any reason for the texture people to not use it. |

Just figured out if you use a random function inside the formulas for some textures, you can put some slight disturbances into unique coloured areas.
see attached sample.
Couldn't repeat #18 it was totally black, possibly a mistype ???
Attached sample shows #19 from above, added the random function which writes as rnd(1) |

there is a bug in this forum thread. You can see that Cos was cut into
co s.
sin(x*0.1*(cos(x*0.05)+sin(x*0.05)))*cos(y*0.1*(co s(x*0.05)+sin(y*0.05)))*500 |

I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but it looks interesting Wigand. Nice work. It reminds me of Texture Maker (which I love). Similar kinds of algorithms. :) |

I finished a small update.
1.
Now you can use 3 different (or same) formulas for the RGB colours.
You can switch the colours on or off. With more than one colour on, the programm is getting a little slower, because it has to calculate more than on formula.
2.
Now you can resize the picture.
For installation: If you already have the old version, you can unzip
the new one and then launch the program.
If you do not have the old one, its better to install it and then exchange the
old one by the new.
Please send me your bugreports and suggestions. |
