Here is a camera that I made that I thought could be used when navigating a scene or point editing.
Keyboard keys controls the camera’s movement. You can have it stay focused on your object as well.
Select the Activate Look at Tool button then select an object in the scene with your mouse. Then select the Camera View button. Use the keyboard keys to navigate around your object. When finished select the Deactivate Look at Tool button to disengage it from the object. Select the Home key to reset the coordinates of the camera back to defaults. Then finally select the Perspective View button, which stops the timer as well.

Limitations: When using this camera with the Look at Tool and depending which side of the object you are navigating around, the movement with the keys gets reversed. Not sure what to do about that and so if anybody has a solution for it please do share.

Special thanks to Johny for the insight on how to do this by sharing his process making the Fighter game.
