The Magic Box // Interactive Artwork 1  |   Order by default Post by Délé // Sep 18, 2006, 12:37am Délé Total Posts: 1374 Hey guys, I was going to wait until more modeling tools were in the player, but I decided to post this now so I don't forget. :) With the player view looking so good, it is a lot easier to model against a reference image. "The Magic Box" is a quick way to set up reference images. You can use the check boxes in the default aspect to hide or reveal any of the six planes. There are tabs at the top that allow you to set each plane. You just drag and drop your reference image into the bitmap input for your desired plane. The plane will automatically scale to the ratio of the image. Then you can quickly adjust the rotation, scale, and location of the planes to line them up how you would like via scrubbers and radio buttons. This only works in the player. It's best when used with a good light setup such as the "white" light setup from the model side lights library. I've updated it with constant shaders so it should be visible under any lighting condition. I also readjusted the views because they were fixed in 7.51.
