When I had time for fun, I did illustrations. Here are some old pictures for those who have not seen. Perhaps the economic crisis will leave me more time for news cool projects.

I like your work Marcel. Thanks for sharing.

One question, how do you see out of the car?
It looks like you would be looking straight up.

Keep sharing your works with us, I really enjoy seeing your work.

Another old images. Some ideas for a new episode of my story "Sonde" because the story is finished at the time of the Middle Ages (but it starts at the time of the dinosaurs!) :)

very impressive pictures, Marcel. Fun to make I am sure, and wonderful to watch. The scene with the trees is very intriguing, how much did you model there. It seems that most of it is modeled, which of course helps to get the beautiful light set up. Can you reveal some of your secrets on this scene :)

Holy crap that's a lot of work!

Did you use paths on modelside to generate those gnarled trees or hand modeling on workspace side?

You did very well with those trees... Perhaps a quick how-to in the tutorium could help the rest of us to do so well?

I made the trees a few years with TS6.6 and basics tools from the modelside. No need plugins to do that. Sweep tool and sds are sufficient to create this scene.

that's what people told me for every image I post. ;)

in fact you should expect me to do a manual for people who know Ts and want to use their knowledge effectively. to make an illustration with a soft has nothing to do with technical manuals. It is a matter of observation and understanding. It should be a kind of "manual for artists". :)

I think such a manual would be very popular!

You are one of several very experienced trueSpace users that could provide an enormous amount of 'user tips/tricks' that would be very useful to beginners and intermediate users - I think this was what you tried to achieve in your other thread and I thought was a good idea...

Whilst the video tutorials and manuals are good for certain information, they frequently cover useful techniques in enough detail - it's something that we (collectively) could provide more of, particulalrly in the 'tutorium' section of the forum, which is not used much.

Th....Th......Th...... Sorry marcel, everytime I try and write something about your tree wireframe image, my chin keeps dropping on the floor. Just as well really as I'm pretty much lost for words. Stunning stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, all done it 6.6? That's quite something.

It looks like it was sculpted rather than swept.

Reminds me of some of the images about the 3D-Coat Voxel sculpting stuff.

Truly spectacular.

It is liquid metal. no need to model the swimsuit. i "cut" the woman and change textures. Two layers. first with mirror and second with phong and bump.

No secret.I do not make what I learn. I do what I feel.

For those who have not seen the BOT video. 2 days ago I have posted a clip (BOT.zip) here:

http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=7788

This is only the beginning and much remains to be done :)

It is very long to render because it is a hd format (pictures above are 33% of original size) and i use a 2x antialising for better rendering.
