This one's just been fun from start to end. Hope it shows in the final images. I count three days of working on this. One of my best records to date
Special thanks to schattendorn for the tail insignia and the noseart (which is no longer visible)
Enjoy |

Very nice work. But the jet wash at the rear took me a while to recognise. Might just be me but I thought that the tail fin had taken a hit until I realise it was heat distortion:o |

Great images Weevil, even though I am sick to death of seeing Tornados. But there again, I only live 2 miles from one of their main operating bases. Still, they are getting the Typhoon next year and that is one awesome machine. :jumpy: |

These have come out very nice indeed, well done :D
I agree that the jet wash effect is possibly a bit over the top, but can't say I've ever been in a similar position to see what it would actually look like..:p I've flown a single prop 4-seater aircraft but it wasn't quite the same....
There's one or two very minor elements that don't sit quite right to me - the wing-tip navigation lights seem to have lost their colour in the re-texturing, the roundels on the wings would normally be much further down the wings towards the tips and the mixture of 'low contrast' and 'high contrast' markings is a little unlikely (but that's being extremely pedantic). Much as the nose graphics are fun, I doubt you actually find much of that kind of thing on British aircraft, we tend to leave that to those folks across the pond... and even they don't go in for it as much now with thhe tendency towards low-contrast schemes, as far as I know.
But overall, these are great shots with really effective composition which really adds to the in-flight feel. |

To answer your questions about the roundels Nez, initially I had designed this paintscheme to ahve no markings, but the overall feel of it came out well enough the roundels were included in caseof any questions as to why they were not there came up. I'll admit they were very much so an afterthought.
As for the nav lights, I think that they wouldn't be on at this time of day, and that the sunlight is reflecting off the glass?
I'll see what I can do |

However you did it, the level of detail and realism you acheived is absolutely amazing...really outstanding work. |

Well I don't know about the nav lights - I would think they're on all the time (or possibly blink?) but can't be sure - there may be a genuine aviator around here somewhere (rather than fans like us!) who can answer that... I know there used to be some years back but don't know if he's still about... not sure reflections of the glass would be so bright...
The colour scheme is frankly less of an issue as schemes are constantly changing/evolving and the images still look very believable in that regard except perhaps to an RAF 'anorak'...
Anyway, agree with Heidi - the detail and execution is very impressive mate. |

I use to frequent the skies often ! It's beautiful up there...especially when you're in control !
In a normal situation (non stealth), the Nav Lights are always running. This helps to serve as a beacon to other A/C. The T/Off and Ldg/Lights are turned off when departing the airport's zone at the required altitude.
Love the model Weevil !!! |

Some jiggery pokery for five minutes, and I've edited the roundels position and added colour to the lights.
Hope it works |

Weevil... Awesome job guy!
The only crit may be about the direction of light on the aircraft, but I could be wrong. Other than that, Beautiful work!
And Congratulations! |
