Please ignore the ever so witty title
As promised. The images of the vulture, in the hangar. It does need a bit of improving, also, the images may look a little milky because I've been told my images are dark by some people, it's easier to see an images that's too light than visa versa.
If you want to see it how I rendered it, change the brightness down by 11 and the contrast up by 13
I do have a bit of an alias problem as well

Heh heh. Now for some backstory
This scene put me through hell, with Truespace constantly honking and bonking at me about fatal render errors and unfortunately the warning stencils don't play nice with volumetrics or even fog. So I'll need to rectify that.
Now. I have an idea. I could get rid of that intrusive loading lift thing that covers the gun, and recycle the rails to go in the corners of the room so it looks like the floor is a lift
I then eliminate the warning stencils for the first render
so I can get volumetrics and then paint EVERYTHING black so I can render just the warning stencils (with an effective 3d mask) and then use the magic tool and pain over them to emulate the volumetric fog using a paintbrush, then simply copy and paste.
I also need to sort out the UV mapping on the warning beam.
I would also like to point out that this is still very much work in progress, these are the final everything BARR the quality
Fun. |

Have you thought about getting a compact? With the price of gas that thing must cost a fortune to run!!:D:D
Very nice work Weevil.
Question: Where do you park that thing?
Answer; Anywhere I want too!!:D |

The results could be disastrous
*ahem* moving on
Thanks for the C&C. I'll get those two images sorted out...sooner...or later...
I would enter this into the monthly site competition if it weren't for three things
1) This is copyrighted image
2) I haven't got a hope in hell
3) It ain't finished |

Heh But that's not the best part. This thing has a five star N-Cap safety rating.
The wall it runs into gets demolished first |

Heh heh. Thank you.
Suppose I probably update the main gist of this topic huh? Oh yeah. I'm on holiday (it's only been a decent few years (mwahhaha)) until Wednesday.
If this thread has sunk I would expect this to come floating back up again on thursday |

Nice shots, I like the mood and rendering style. Check out my website if you´re interested in more mechs ;). I was a mech-geek as well some time ago.

Love the shots of your mech in its service hanger. As GreySho has already pointed out, they have a really great mood to them. Would love to see some mechanics swarming all over it getting it prepped for battle. |

Here comes the thread, floating back up
@Graysho. Bluntly put. They are incredible models. Really. Wow. They kinda remind me of the Armoured core series as well. Amazing
@Breech block. hat was what I was originally going to do, you would also see more of the hangar but by the time I rendered the first image you see in this thread. It worked out better than I thought it would |
