I've been playing with Dribble's displacement mapping last sunday.

I think it is worth to say that I've used trueSpace only in this work (wink to MadMouse ;)),

I love the way Dribble handles soft shadows ; here with area samples set to 128, I get no dust and a very clean look in a reasonable time.

Dribble is definately the ultimate render engine for toons animation !

See below :

1- Lightworks render, showing model before surfaces subdivision,

2- Dribble test render, adjusting bump map values,

3- Dribble final render.

That really looks good!

You Modeled in tS? Well everyone knows you "could" have used another Modeling Program if you had to :D

How did you uv map the coat and trim? Also is that newspaper print as the texure?

Hot diggedy, that's fantastic.

Can't wait 'til trueSpace can handle bump/displacement properly like this.

Very nicely done! Fine example of how displacement mapping can yield fantastic detail with less geometry/modeling requirement.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

Find below the bump maps used in that scene. It is good to re-use the same bump map for several objects, changing amplitude and UV repetition settings.
