Since there's no Animation Gallery, I guess I'll just post this one here.

Was experimenting with motion and decided to remake Pixar's Luxor Jr. Identity/intro.

I didn't model quite as nice of a lamp since I was primarily trying to get motion right, but thought I'd post it anyway.

Originally modelled in 7.51, but went back to 6.6 for Motion Studio stability which I used for the animation. And I wanted to render in dribble, but no lens flare and motion blur would only work on the MoStu's bones, so used Lightworks instead. Ended up having to drop the Motion Blur due to it being too computationally expensive. Might try to rework the lighting to see if I can't get it to go faster.

Anyway, thought I'd post it here looking for critiques and comments.

Please let me know what you think.

The video is in Mpg format. Just couldn't get results that I liked from Premiere Elements in any other format. Gotta do some more reading on exporting.

Enjoy,

Ed

Your going to be Pixar Jr.!? I remember you when...

I was impressed. Nice timing, sound synced perfectly, I liked the slide, and the lighting was very well done. Your choice of halogen light versus the older incandescent light bulb made it look modernized. Great Job.

Thanks guys.

Stenie, the shape was based on my halogen desk lamp. Funny you noticed. But only loosely. Like I said this was more of a motion exercise for me.

Kena, the sound were fun to make too. They mostly came from this really cool cartoon FX disc I have. Chock full of whizzes, twangs, boing, pops etc.Very handy thing to have.
