Normally I would post in the WIP thread to allow for tweaks responding to suggestions and comments from my fellow trueSpacers. But not today.
Today I am posting directly to the Finished Artwork forum because I will not be tweaking this image any further. This is due to the 20 hour render time for this picture, the fact that you've seen the modelling before (and no-one criticised it then) and the fact that I think it looks pretty good as it is :D .
Please don't let this stop you from commenting though - I like to know what everyone thinks.
This is all trueSpace 6.6 except the waterfall (made by Forester using her secret techniques for making cool waterfalls) with a slight touch of post work using Universe Image Creator and Irfanview for the jpeg compression.
So...er... what do you think? |

Oh my!
My first thought was where did you take that photo?
That is some gallery class work indeed. :) |

I've liked all of these castle images that you've been doing lately. This is definitely my favorite out of the bunch though. Very cool mood! Kind of gets me anxious for the warm spring air that is soon to come. Great job Wizard! :) |

Thanks for the very kind words folks.
Délé Kind of gets me anxious for the warm spring air that is soon to come.. Yes it is the Spring Equinox for you Northern Hemispere types - here in NZ our Daylight Savings time ends tonight, the very start of another long cold southern winter - brrr. At least it means I'll have more time at my computer and less time (a LOT less) at the beach! Thanks for your comment though - it shows that I must have got close to the mood I was looking for.
Alien and jamesmc - thanks guys and yes I'll be entering this in this months gallery so at least you all know what you are up against.;)
Splinters - thank you for the compliment - I always get all bashful when people want to use my output for their desktop! I'm happy to send you the highest res I have if you wish - it was rendered 1024x768 though you could blow it up a little with Photoshop or something without degrading the picture much. PM me with an email addy and I'll send you an uncompressed version if you like. |

Perfectly moody Wiz. You should get a better PC instead of further Software upgrades, so we can see more of your work in a shorter period :D |

Dude - you so got that right! I'm working on getting a better PC. I have a very helpful computer guy who is going to fix me up with some RAM and a gfx card with a bit more grunt. I'm also swapping my computer with my partners (what a woman!).
I just hope it can all happen soon! |
