Something I made up for the FPSCreator community, as the February Model of the Month.

Wow, that looks like garbage. Why is the limit for .PNGs only 19.5KB?? I knocked the picture down to 320x240, and it's still just over 40KB. I can't upload a good shot it seems using .JPG.

Wow, that looks like garbage.
And there's me about to tell you it looked amazing, & ask how the hell you get your textures looking that good, but if you say it's garbage who am I to argue? :p

No idea, I never use attachments - I just bung stuff on the free webspace I get with my ISP account. |

Yeah, I'll have to use my site I guess. I didn't have any problems uplaoding the .PNG file on the GameSpace forums; just wanted to know why there are unrealistic constraints on these forums. The image isn't crisp at all, it's a bit frustrating to show your work in that condition.
Thanks for the compliment though. I'll have to show an in-game shot with it later (assuming the file size isn't too big).

It's not up yet; I'm waiting on my partner from Australia to finish the files for FPSCreator. I'll make up the general files for release in a bit (I'll have to shrink it significantly, as FPSCreator demands a HUGE sized model).

Nice work Keith C!
I prefer vertical board planks on shack type buildings rather than a shingle type approach. I guess it's more of a farm building type and what I'm used to.
Here's an example "cutout" sketch I used in class my mom taught me about perspective and vanishing points. Sorry, not too good, one of my first. heh

Again, just my preference, cause I like rough looking buildings, you'd find on a farm, with upright planks.
Notice the primitive railroad tracks on the upper left corner we used for a perspecitve sample. hehe :) |

Thanks, James. I was back and forth over whether to make the boards vertical or horizontal. Here's an in-game screenshot:

Are these pictures showing up 'fuzzy' for everyone else, or is it just me? |

Looks okay to me. I think it's the darkness and no ambient light making it look fuzzy.
BTW, that's looks very cool. I'd want to play that game. :) |

Oh it's not a game, it's just a quick level I mocked up to show things off. There is a clearer in-game image (the same one) in the GameSpace forums (WIP, I believe). Thanks for the input.

OK, the model is up for general download. It is in .X, .3DS, and.COB formats; the texture (512x512) is in .PNG format. Same stuff...royalty free, commercial non-commercial, and license enclosed.
Get it here: Guard Shack (http://www.ozarkgames.com/smf/index.php?topic=70.0)
Let me know if there are any problems; and Mr. Bones, if you would be my guest...
Enjoy.

I wonder what the difference would be with the 1024x1024 texture. Good work Mr. Bones.

Looks like the new mapping's a no-go in this instance. It's hard to tell though, as it seems pictures aren't coming out that crisp right now.
Thanks for posting though.

I'm looking at these images on amother computer now, it looks like my laptop at home is the culprit, as the images look clear now. As long as everyone else can see them, that's what matters.:D
Problem is on my end.
