Not sure what you are asking for here - you use regular tS lights, and adjust their shadow casting settings, to get lighting and shadows in V-Ray. Sounds like you are looking for something else though?

Nah just wondered if there was any specific settings to do with Vray in relation to lighting and shadows.

The soft shadows setting on the VRay panel is particularly useful. You need higher values than the default though and it's impact on render time is minimal.

I think I remember using something like 200 samples and a radius of 0.9 or so. Higher samples = sharper shadows. Larger radius = more blur.
