I am starting on a game in XNA. I am new to XNA and such, but have old 3D experience. (Think Amiga and Impulse)

I am using XNA 3.0 and Visual Studio Pro 2008.

I have been using Blender and really basic effects like the BasicEffect and the SkinnedModel effect from tutorials I have seen. I like trueSpce much better. I think it is easier to use from a 3D tool point of view. The problem I am having is getting the files to work right in XNA.

I followed a tutorial on stromcode and it worked until I tried to create 2 of the same model. When I did that only the second one showed up. I also don't feel comfortable about having to use a speciel effect to import the texture.

What would it take for someone to write an export that would output XNA compatible FBX files that can be used right in XNA?

I will need textures (normal UV type is fine, I love the shrink wrap in TS) and simple bone animation.

I am about half-way done coding an FBX importer/exporter for tS (geometry only at the moment). Just need to find time to work on it.

If you are keeping a list, please put me on it to test. I would be happy to test just geometry, but really couldn't use it until it did textures and bones.

Good luck...
