I have applied (to a curved surface) a leaf texture with an alpha channel.


The leaf, however, comes out transparent where the image overlaps itself (due to the curve) and is additive - making the overlap areas extra bright. The transparency of the leaf is only relative to itself - other objects don't show through the leaf (see JPG below).


I would like the leaf to be truely opaque, but don't find any settings that deal with that.


Thanks for any clues.

Have you tried setting:
AlphaTest = As Opaque
AlphaTestValue = 0.300

Perfecto! Thanks Trueblue. When I set the Alpha test to opaque, the transparent areas turned white, but when I set the test value to .3, they went transparent again and now the leaf is opaque as should be.


My only remaining problem is understanding why it worked. But it sure did. Thanks again.
