I am looking for a Truespace tutor in the Denver, CO area to help me get a quick start on 7.6. I need to animate kinetic sculpture models against a background photo. I develop my sculptures in 3d CAD and export mesh objects into Truespace.

I would like to get up to speed quickly on glueing, applying materials, simple rotational on axes animation, and rendering to file.

Any leads on someone who I could hire to get me started would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Bob !!!
I'm not sure how much luck you'll get with that, but in the meantime....
What you're asking is not too hard to figure out with a little determination with some trial and error in the right direction. The "Search" option in the above toolbar is a great way to locate possible answers.
Here are some posts that will help you get a jump start:

Thanks for the reply Mr3D;

As you predicted, not much luck finding someone in Denver that could help me out one-on-one. I have been going through the many tutorials and will eventually figure this all out. Any guess why it is difficult to find in-person instruction on Truespace?

Is it not used commercially or taught in colleges?

tS is used commercially, but is not taught in colleges. The reason is that most colleges still come from the traditional way of thinking - that people train in 3D to work in the movies.

tS was never in that marketplace, so never had college courses produced for it. (tS is usually used for product illustration and architectural renderings, professionally). For the same reason, most people didn't make books for tS etc since back in the tS4 days. This means there are no tutors in tS.

You can get a lot of advice here on the forums, and thanks to shared space you can get one on one teaching in there, from some experts here on the forum, wherever they are based in the world :)

HTH!
