 Hi,


When I add a HDRI image for lighting and I render in model space it works but if I jump from model to workspace then back to model space it seems to disappear. It actually comes up black and makes the model dark (totally black). Ive tried to add them image from scratch but it wont allow me to anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That's a bridge problem.

I would suggest not setting up the global illumination until you have all the other parts of the model set up.

I'd add that even working in model side only with HDR, if you save your scene, exit truespace and then re-open, you'll find that the scene has 'forgotten' which HDR image you were using - it will remember that you were using HDR and the numerical settings, but won't know what image to apply and therefore your scene is effectively unlit. This is probably a similar matter.

So you should always ensure you find some way to keep note of your preffered HDR image for a scene you're working on in some way - some folks have renamed their camera object to act as a clue, I've used a text file in my scenes directory as another option....
