Ok, so Ive been messing around in Truespace for about a week now and I have a good feel of the program for the modeling aspect. What I would like now is to know more about materials. I have searched the forums for far too long on information about it and I guess I must be skimming over everything that can help me. When I click the Material Editor button on a brand new scene it gives me almost nothing to work with so I end up editing the different materials that come with truespace, any information on this will be helpful.

You don't specify whether you're working on the model side or the workspace side. Materials will depend on what you'll use for a render engine.

If you're on the model side, there's a full tutorial course on shaders in the trainiing section of this site. Click on Training/Older Courses then look down the left side for Shaders. Here (http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/NewShaders.asp?Cate=Training&Subcate=Older)

There is also a full explanation in the manual (Chapt 6, pg 28)

If you're in the workspace and are asking about realtime materials, click on Training/Fundamental Courses and look for Introduction to Realtime shading. Here (http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/tS7Shaders.asp?Cate=Training&Subcate=Fundamental)

There is also an extended secion in the manual including another tutorial for realtime shaders. (Chapt 5, pg 43).

Oh... also in the Training Section of this site... you might want to check out the Master Courses on Texture Creation.

That should at least get you started. :)
