After you have a character rigged and all.

Can you add cloths, swords, ant new objects to them with out having to re rig the character ?

Yes. Each additional mesh will just be another object inside the actor object. You can attached object to bone, skin to skeleton or skin to bone. No need to rerig.


Another feature which is important is you can hide parts of a mesh in WS. This does two things, it reduces work your graphics card has to do plus makes it much easier to have cloths over skin and not have the skin poking through the cloths or cloths going inside the body. Just go in PE mode, select faces you want to hide and select hide mesh tool. This is also very useful for weight painting areas like inside the mouth where if the face is visable it makes it extremely hard to weight paint the tongue, teeth etc..
