How to unglue?

How to unglue? // New Users

I see the button ''Unglue'' but he is gray, it shows that you can not use.


I'm glue several cubes... Just to test. But I select them and cannot unglue.


Help please.

With the glued object selected, press the down arrow key on your keyboard, then the left or right arrow key to select the subobject that you want to unglue. (<EDIT>At this point the 'Unglue' tool will no longer be grayed out and will become available.)

Unglue works in a specific way - it unglues the currently selected item from the hierarchy it is glued inside. If you are on the outside of the hierarchy with the whole group selected, there is nothing to unglue.


As per the previous post, move into the hierarchy and select what you want to detach from the group, and then use unglue. To split the whole thing up, select the whole group from outside the hierarchy, and then use the Split Hierarchy tool, which will dissolve the group and all sub-groups and leave you with all the objects separated.
