Hello

I have imported a figure that I have already uv mapped and textured.

I imported it as an obj and have now rigged it up.

I'd like to apply the original textures I made to the appropriate parts - the rigged figures is made of head eyes arms etc as different meshes.

I'm not sure how to do this. My figure is a nice overall grey at the moment.

Any clues pointing in the right direction appreaciated.

cheers again

Did you use luuv? If so when importing all your textures and UV would come through. Now if you use the plain obj importer from menu only the mesh comes through.

Edit, Cool! didn't need below after all, I will leave incase someone else may need it to work through. Thanks!

Na, not really, I will do quick walk through:

In modeler on bottom toolbar there is an Icon which looks like a plug for a wall, far right, click on that

This will open a trueSpace sXtension Dialog box in the tsx folder of tS

Open up inside the tsx folder the luuv folder

Then open the luuv.tsx file

This will add a new icon next to the plug icon that says obj on face

Click on the obj icon and open up luuv to load your model

Now for me I've found when importing objects it is better to turn off the bridge between modeler and Workspace. That can be found in the stack view under settings. Let me know how this works out for you.

Thanks for taking the time to explain that Noko.

Fortunately I went through the fun and games of locating LUUV a few days ago :).

Life wasn't meant to be easy.

Lucky there are kind people here to explain!

I'll try turning off the bridge and see what happens.

cheers again!
